As soon as the news broke out about Sundar Pichai’s appointment as the new CEO of Google, schools from Chennai started making changes to his Wikipedia page showing that he did his school from their institution. Indians love taking credit for accomplishments by one of ours anywhere in the world.
It was nothing less that a war. People around the world know that Sundar holds a bachelor’s degree from prestigious IIT Kharagpur and then he went to Stanford and later Wharton for his master’s. Only thing people were unsure about was his schooling. And, that’s what these over smart people tried to fake.
