Satnam Singh Becomes First Indian To Be Selected In NBA Draft

Satnam singh becomes first India born basket ball player to be drafted by an NBA team, Dallas Mavericks. The National Basketball Association (NBA) is the eminent men’s professional basketball league in North America. It is widely considered to be the premier men’s professional basketball league in the world, and being a part of  the NBA league is one of the best things that can happen to any budding sportsman.

He hails from Village Billoke, Punjab province. 19 years old Satnam’s height is 7’2” and weight approx. 320lbs. He moved to the United States in September of 2010 as part of a scholarship program between IMG Academy, Florida and Reliance. It was a dearly held dream for Satnam Singh to make it big in basketball.

In a country which is so obsessed with cricket, Satnam dreams of making Basketball a prominent game in India. “I wish to become the greatest player in the world and want to uphold the honor of India, the USA and of my coach.” He told in an interview with CNN.
