Born into a royal Bengali family, he was very much influenced by spirituality so he started learning from his guru Ramakrishna. Even today he is credited for raising awareness about Hinduism and introducing it to the world.
His teachings always focussed on human development and he always wanted his followers to focus on a single idea and live on that idea. Success will automatically follow. His teachings were so rational and realistic that those are still applicable in modern society.
