A name that needs no introduction. Undoubtedly, he is one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood. Movies like Bagh Bahadur, Road to Sangam, Brothers in Trouble, City of Joy, Black Friday only add to the fact that his versatility and prowess as an actor has always surprised audiences and critics alike. The intensity with which he plays his characters only shows his dedication and commitment towards his profession.
The Delhi-based actor became popular with TV series Nukkad which ruled Indian television in the 1980s. Waise to all his performances are brilliant, but there are some that touched our hearts.

1. Bagh Bahadur (1989)
It’s a Bengali movie in which Pavan played the role of a villager who would paint himself as a Tiger and dance in the village. The character very well portrayed the hardships and challenges of a village life.
2. Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro (1989)
Yet another epic by Saeed Akhtar Mirza after previously directing Pavan in TV series Nukkad. He essayed the role of a small-time thug and thief who lives in suburbs of Mumbai. This movie is one of the finest examples of parallel cinema and his role was critically acclaimed.
3. Faqir (1998)
Pavan Malhotra won a National Award for his performance in the movie. Need we say more.
4. Black Friday (2004)
Till date, his role as Tiger Memon in the movie is regarded as one of his best performances. He also won a couple of awards for the role.
5. Jab We Met (2007)
Who doesn’t know Geet’s (Kareena Kapoor) chacha. His funny one-liners and witty dialogues are worth watching. I am sure if you have seen the movie you can never forget his character.
6. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013)
He was well lauded for his splendid performance as Farhan Akhtar’s coach in the movie during his days in Indian army.
7. Punjab 1984 (2014)
He bagged the award of the best actor in the negative role for his performance as a biased and corrupt policemen in the movie.
