Did You Know Original Names Of These Indian Celebrities?

If I ask you a question – Would you know Inquilab Srivastava? What would you say? Who the hell is that? Right. But if I change my question and ask – Would you know Amitabh Bachchan? And you would immediately kick my a** and say “Bhai hindustan mein bacha paide hote hi apna naam bad mein sikhta hai, Amitabh Bachchan pehle.”

The reason I asked this question is that this name doesn’t suit Mr. Bachchan’s personality. And, most of them changed their names, most probably at the insistence of the producers and directors in whose films they debuted as actors.

So let’s have a look at some of the Indian celebrities who are not known by their original names but their chosen names.

1. Inquilab Srivastava – Amitabh Bachchan 

Bachchan was initially named Inquilaab, inspired by the phrase Inquilab Zindabad popularly used during the Indian independence struggle.

She just shortened her name to look cool.
