Facebook paid 42 times more than the price they originally paid for registering facebook.com. The domain currently redirects users to facebook.com.
13. Business.com Selling Price: $7.5 Million (INR 45 Crores) in 1999
The domain name was purchased from Mark Ostrofsky by Jake Winebaum, previously chairman of Walt Disney Group, for a whopping $7.5 Million.
