1. Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of The Netherlands

He travels by his bicycle most of the time. For official trips outside of the country, he has to take faster means of transport like a jet or a flight.

2. Jose Mujica, Former President of Uruguay

He was commonly known as “The poorest president in the world.” It’s not that he was not given any perks and benefits of being a president, but he refused to accept that lifestyle and led a simple life. He travelled by his old Volkswagen Beetle.

He travelled by his bike to work but had to drop the idea because of security reasons. But, he was still seen riding his bike on streets followed by his bodyguards from a distance.

When he was in office, he gave up his entire Mercedez fleet and travelled by Renault 5, which was one of the cheapest cars during that time. He was also known as Africa’s Che Guevara and did a lot of work to have equal rights for women.
