Here comes the good news for all the Maggi lovers. Strengthened by Bombay Hight Court Orders, Nestle plans to bring back the brand by the end of this year.
The company took an overall hit of Rs 450 crore since the ban of the product in June. Nestle destroyed over 30,000 tonnes of Maggi. “We will try and target something that is better than that. My desire is to do it before that but let’s see,” Nestle India Managing Director Suresh Narayanan told PTI in an interview.
As per the directives issued by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), Maggi will be tested at three different laboratories (Punjab, Hyderabad, Jaipur) before hitting the market, The Hindu reported.
Narayanan also mentioned that there will be no change in the ingredients of the product but there will innovations and addition of variants to the product. “What has worked for 30 years, must work in future too”, he added. Maggi core focus will be to win customer’s confidence again.
