9 Things Every Indian Loves About Pakistan

Our ancestors came from Pakistan. They really loved everything about Pakistan. Even after the partition, they missed their real home. An amazing line by a  Sufi Poet – “Woh galiyan fir yaad aa jaya karti hein” literally sums up the feelings of our great grandfathers. And feeling of all the people who left their homeland during that unfortunate event of the partition.

Life is very much same in both the countries. India & Pakistan has a lot in common including food, culture, music etc.

And, there are a lot of things that every Indian loves about Pakistan. We may hate to admit it, but we are secret admirers of the following things about Pakistan.

1. Poetry & Sufism

In simple terms, Sufi means express your love to God. Sufi poets Shah Abdul Latif, Bulleh Shah, Mian Muhammad Bakhsh and Khawaja Farid are very popular in Pakistan. These Sufi poets have a strong influence on India. In fact, their poetry is often used in Bollywood movies.

2. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan

The name needs no introduction. Every Indian is in love with his Qawwalis. Khan is credited for introducing Qawwali music  to international audiences.

3. Pakistani Bowlers

All players across teams were frightened to face bowlers like Wasim Akram, Imran Khan, Waqar Younis. Their fast bowling coupled with a strong line and length have collapsed a lot of teams. All Indians envy and respect the former Pakistani pace bowlers.

4. Coke Studio

It’s the best ever music series which offers a great combination of Sufi, classic & Jazz Music. Pakistani Coke Studio is downloaded and watched in almost all the college campuses, but the Indian counterpart never gets such attention. Indians listen to Coke Pakistan before Coke India.

5. Beautiful Girls

Undoubtedly, the most beautiful species on the planet. I am sure about it being a guy myself. Have any doubts on this Indian boyzzz?

7. Comedy Actors

Now don’t tell me that you don’t know Naseem Vicky. Really? No. Ok, I will give you a clue “Paise ki kami nahi hai.” Ab yaad aya. Pakistan has given us a lot of great comedy actors like Shakeel Siddiqui, Kashif Khan,  Rauf Lala, Moin Akhter, Umer Sharif, Irfan & Ali Hassan. Their comic timing is superb.
