As we all know that the Mars Orbitor Mission was very successful and some amazing facts that it was made in $74 Mn and cheaper per kilometer than an auto and so on. But most important thing to know is how its done.
Since, our launcher was a little lighter and not that powerful. So, the scientists thought instead of making a new launcher what could they do to use the same launcher for doing the mission.
They used gravity. Yes, gravity to take it away from gravity. A product that is literally free. That’s what makes it different. They used Earth’s gravity to gather speed, Sun’s gravity to travel and then Mars’s gravity to get closer to it.
