As they say, “Marriages are made in heaven but celebrated on the earth.” Enroute that celebration, there are a lot of obstacles that come in the way. Some people choose to live with it and some choose to part ways. After all, it’s a matter of choice who you want to be with.
Unlike India where a marriage is considered to be a union of two families and divorce is regarded as a Taboo and brings a bad name to the family, there are a lot of countries where if marriages don’t work the couple gets divorced. Let’s take a look at which countries are leading this race.
The data is based on a survey by the United Nations. It includes no. of divorces per 1000 inhabitants per year in a given area. It may not be an accurate way of measuring divorce rates because it also includes people who can’t marry or below the minimum marriageable age. Also, in no way it advocates anything related to the stability of marriages in a given country.
