Delhi metro mascot is named after a girl, Maitree, who was delivered in Delhi metro at 7:28 AM on 23 July 2012 near Khan market metro station a week before her due date.

Delhi metro is expected to cover 295 kms carrying over 4 million passengers by 2016.

One train with 4 cars has travelled more than 30,385,779.55 kms (approx.) since the start of its operations on 25 December 2002.
