For last three centuries cricket is called a Gentleman’s game. The reason is when British Aristocrats started playing it they said that there shall be no sledging, cheating, temper tantrums and it must be played in the ‘Spirit of the Game’ with true sportsmanship. I don’t think these words matter a lot in cricket now. A time when cheating and match fixing are the important words in the dictionary of cricket and not players and game.
Well, maybe I don’t feel so strongly about this but this guy has a perfect response to why cricket should not be called a gentleman’s game. Take a look at this hilarious video by .
