Have you ever seen a barber who goes to his shop in a 3.1 crore Rolls-Royce Ghost? Surprised? Meet Mr. Ramesh Babu from Bangalore who is a great example of how a person with such a humble background can make it big in life just by doing something he loved.
Ramesh Babu runs a salon named Inner Space and gives a haircut to his customers worth Rs 65. You’ll be surprised to know that his business clients include politicians, military officers along with some popular Bollywood stars like Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.The earnings from his salon are modest, but the majority of his wealth comes from a highly successful car rental business which he operates out of his sheer passion for cars.
His fleet consists of around 200 cars including Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, Mercedes C, E & S class and BMW 5,6 & 7 series.
A bit of background about Mr. Babu
His father died in 1989 leaving the responsibility of barber’s shop on his shoulders. Ramesh, 7-year-old then, took over the responsibility and soon converted it into a trendy hair styling outlet. After earning some money from the shop, he bought his first car, a Maruti Omni, in 1997 and started renting it to customers. Very soon, he was running a successful taxi operation followed by a luxury car rental and self-drive business by 2004.
And the rest is history.
