During the 83rd Air Force Day Celebrations this morning at Hindon Airbase station, Indian Air Force (IAF) Chief Arup Raha said, “Indian Air Force will induct women pilots in fighter stream soon.”
The issue of having women in the fighter stream has been going on for a long time. Till now, women have been flying transport aircraft and helicopters. But this remarkable announcement will help meet the aspirations of young women of India.
IAF is celebrating its 83rd Air Force Day today.
On this occasion, India’s Prime Miniter Narendra Modi tweeted congratulating IAF personnel for their courage and determination towards our country.
