Karishma Kapoor, also known as Lolo, turns an year old today. She was known as one of the most beautiful actresses of Indian Cinema. She ruled the Indian cinema for almost two decades and is still known for her fitness & beauty. During her time in Bollywood, she won several accolades & awards. Even though she is not doing any movies right now, but she is well connected with the industry and makes appearances in various awards & shows.

1. Barsaat (1995)
She was offered the role of the film’s leading lady, but she refused it, and it went into Twinkle Khanna’s kitty. Twinkle and the film’s hero, Bobby Deol, debuted with Barsaat, which saw a number of title changes.
2. Karan Arjun (1995)
In the same year, Karisma was also approached to play one of the female leads in this reincarnation drama. She was offered to essay the role of Salman Khan’s girl, but we guess she didn’t really like the part and turned it down. The role eventually went to Mamta Kulkarni.
3. Ishq (1997)
Karisma Kapoor was offered the role that was finally played by Juhi Chawla, in the romantic dramedy.
4. Gupt (1997)
Gupt was the third film rejected by Karisma Kapoor that had Kajol as one of the two female leads. Karan Arjun and Ishq were the earlier two. Karisma was offered Manisha Koirala’s role in the flick.
5. Judaai (1997)
Karishma turned it down, thus Urmila Matondkar came aboard. Raj Kanwar’s film earned decent business at the box-office.
6. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998)
Karisma was approached for the role that was eventually played by Rani Mukerji. The role was especially written with Twinkle Khanna in mind but she rejected it. Then, Tabu, Shilpa Shetty, Urmila Matondkar, Aishwarya Rai, Raveena Tandon and Karisma were offered to play the part but they all refused it.
7. Yeh Raaste Hain Pyaar Ke (2001)
This love-triangle had Madhuri Dixit as its second female lead. Karisma was approached to essay the role that was finally played by Preity Zinta. Ajay Devgn was the film’s hero.
8. Asoka (2001)
When Karisma Kapoor refused to play the film’s leading lady, the role went into her little sister Kareena’s kitty. The film was a box-office disaster.
9. Deewangee (2002)
Karisma was offered the psychological thriller’s female lead’s role, but she turned it down. Finally, Urmila Matondkar became the film’s heroine. Deewangee was an average grosser.
