He started his journey as a fruit vendor in Bangalore 15 years back, but he was always driven towards his passion of creating something new. He tried his hand in making TV antennas and later he also designed a two-wheeler for disabled people. But, his quest was still not over. He finally designed a solar car and now in the same car he is travelling through various Indian states and cities covering a journey of 1740 kilometres to reach the national capital in the first week of December. He started his journey on 1st November 2015.

Syed, a school dropout, now spends 25% of his income to design energy efficient devices and another 25% on social service. He is deeply influenced by teachings of late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam and this trip is a tribute to him. Earlier, he had spent about four years and Rs. 10 lakh to develop electric two-wheelers and three- wheelers for differently-abled people, before making this solar-powered four-wheeler worth Rs. 50,000.

He has previously travelled in South India in 2012 covering a distance of 1000 kms to spread awareness about a corruption-free India.

Salute to Mr Ahmed for his great service to the nation.
